Day 5

So not much new to report. Still feeling good and energized. Also still getting cravings. I'm never going hungry but I still want something cooked to eat. But I am also craving raw foods, too-- something I never used to do. I ate them because they were good for me, but I never craved raw carrots or anything!

I am also having some dry skin issues. I have read about this being an issue for raw foodist so I covered myself in body oil. That should help. I also have red splotches of dry skin on my face, something I have never had before so I know it's the diet, so I have to be diligent about applying moisturizer.
Another thing, I woke up wide-awake at 3am today and couldn't get back to sleep. I know I need less sleep on this diet, but this is getting ridiculous. I have always had my full 8, usually 9 hours of sleep but now I'm down to 5 hours? Odd. And I no longer need coffee. I wake up very clear minded and energized. This is definitely a first for me.
So I am seeing more positive than negative and that's the important thing.
My meals for today have been more of the same so I won't bother to post them. I need to get some new recipes! I bought a few organic mangoes yesterday and I'm going to try out Ani Phyo's raw mango ice cream. It looks simple and delicious, just waiting on the mangoes to reach peak ripeness. I'm also planning to make flax seed crackers in the food dehydrator this weekend. If anything turns out good, I'll be sure and post recipes.

Oh, and tomorrow me and my family are checking out this place:
