So basically I'm so tired I almost don't even want to write this post.
I got up with a lot of energy after taking a two hour nap yesterday and falling asleep promptly at 11pm. I went to the gym and had a good amount of energy but got tired 10 minutes into the workout. I finished but it was a struggle. After putting my son down for his nap at 2pm, I took a two hour nap- again. This is two days in a row. I'm.... not a nap person at all. The only time I have ever taken naps was when I was pregnant.
From what I'm reading, my body is trying to detox so I will feel tired, have breakouts and may even get sick. Yippee!
Oh, but the good news is that I discovered two great raw food items. The first is Food For Life sprouted corn tortillas. Delish! These will save me. I love, love corn tortillas. Also, I discovered coconut water. It's delicious and I have a little after coming home from the gym. It has tons of potassium and is extremely hydrating. My sons loves it as well. My husband, not a fan. Boo.
Anyway, this is what I ate today:
Breakfast- large apple, plum, grapefruit
Lunch- Green Smoothie (arugula, blueberries, pineapple, flax seed), carrots, watermelon
Dinner- raw veggie tacos- Food For Life sprouted corn tortillas, red and yellow bell pepper strips, red onion, pico de gallo, guacamole.
Dessert/snack- Watermelon, peach
So that was my day. I'm ready to crash on the couch for the night. I should report that my husband is eating the exact same diet as me and is having none of these symptoms. Lucky ducky.

Day 1
I'm tired. And I have a headache. And I'm tired.
I went to the gym today and got tired pretty fast. I did my regular workout but wanted to stop half way through, but didn't. Even though I worked out for the same 30 minutes as usual, I burned less calories. Hmph. Oh well. I also skipped the stair stepper. I'm *up* to 5 minutes (woo-hoo). That thing kicks my butt. I just couldn't do it today, but will start again tomorrow.
Another thing-- I am also coming off of being sick for a week- but with plenty of time to heal. I started feeling better last Thursday and today is Monday.. so I'd say long enough to ensure I'm 100% before working out again.
I also did some weight training. Only upper body and only 4 exercises. Starting off slow.
So food for today: I should mention everything is organic.
Breakfast: Green smoothie (handful of fresh spinach, handful blueberries, banana, 1T flax seed) and a grapefruit
*coconut water after workout
Lunch: 1oz slivered almonds, handful grapes, handful carrots and a plum.
Dinner: Mixed bowl of avocado, tomatoes, lime juice, cilantro and a Green Smoothie.
Night time snack: frozen grapes
So that's that. Day 1 has been a little rough but it is to be expected. I forgot to take my "before" picture so I'll take it tomorrow. Me tired. nighty*night.
